Dr Gary Ellem received his PhD in Biophysics from the University of Newcastle (Australia) and followed on to lecture in Biology and Ecology. He has worked in industry as a strategic analyst and senior scientist in the energy and cleantech sectors. Now working as an industry consultant and futurist Dr Ellem remains a conjoint academic of the University of Newcastle.
