We are thrilled to extend our warm invitation to you to apply for the prestigious Meaningful Tourism Award 2024, a hallmark event that celebrates excellence and innovation in the realm of sustainable and meaningful tourism practices. After Singapore 2022 and Doha 2023, this year, the award ceremony will be held during the Nepal Tourism 2.0 conference in Kathmandu/Nepal, organised by PATA Nepal Chapter and COTRI, on June 6th, 2024.
The Meaningful Tourism Award recognises and honors outstanding achievements across various sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry. We encourage tourism professionals, service providers, organisations, and governments to participate and showcase their best practices that contribute to Meaningful Tourism benefits and satisfaction for one of the six main stakeholders in tourism.
The six award categories are ordered accordingly:
- Travellers
- Host communities
- Employees of service providing companies
- Service providing companies
- Governments
- Environment
In each category, a Gold, Silver and Bronze Award will be selected from the applications by an international jury. If you have an initiative, a project or a project which fits with the provision of benefits and satisfaction for one of the stakeholders, please apply for the Meaningful Tourism Award 2024. Application is of course free of charge.

- Application Requirements: Include information about your product, project or initiative in electronic form (PowerPoint, PDF, video, link to website, etc.), and a brief explanation of why your activity deserves recognition as a Meaningful Tourism endeavor.
