She will take on a role to help reduce the environmental impact of Deloitte’s 55,000 staff, based in London.
Deloitte is pursuing a net-zero strategy called WorldClimate, which involves redesigning its offices, reconfiguring the products it uses, sourcing responsibly and rethinking how its people work.
Stoker will continue with Capture part-time in an advisory role until a new chief executive is appointed in the new year.
Her move comes as Capture announces a new majority shareholder, Amit Sharma, founder of renewables and sustainability investment firm SPREAD. The deal will give Capture better access to the market and funding, the company said in a statement.
Capture’s app and dashboard enables people to track, reduce and remove carbon emissions from everyday life. Its technology has been used to lower the footprint of employees at companies including the consultancy Bain & Company, Experian, a credit reporting company and Quintet Private Bank.
Also departing Capture is technology chief and co-founder Abdul Aziz, who is moving on to a new role based in Melbourne.
Sharma said he saw “massive potential” for Capture in supporting organisations in building a “planet-friendly workforce on a huge scale.”
“We are excited by the possibilities and will be supporting the appointment of a new management team following our strategic investment into the company,” he said in a press release.
