Leung has been appointed as APAC head of Zevero, which was recently acquired by Singapore-based climate tech venture Levelup.
Zevero measures corporate emissions in a carbon accounting market estimated to be worth US$15 billion. Clients include advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy and beer brand Yakima Chief Hops.
Founded in 2020 by then-23 year-olds Ben Richardson and George Wade, Zevero has offices in Singapore, Japan and London, where it is headquartered. The merger with Levelup is expected to see the company expand its presence in Asia Pacific.
Leung left CDP after a two-year stint following a restructure of the organisation last year. As well as global head of communications, he was CDP’s regional director for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Over his career, he has previously held regional marketing roles for messaging device firm BlackBerry and music media brand MTV. He started out his career as an account manager in the advertising industry in the United Kingdom.
