Equilibrium Capital hires greenhouse expert Godfrey Dol for new Singapore office

Dol joins the sustainable investment firm after stints in Kazakhstan and Mexico.

Portland-headquartered investment firm Equilibrium Capital has appointed Godfrey Dol to join its new Singapore office as principal for the company’s controlled environment foods team.

Equilibrium Capital is an investment firm that focuses solely on sustainable investments, with projects ranging from converting farm waste into biogas to greenhouses.

Dol has experience in the glasshouse industry spanning decades, and has worked in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and North America. He has worked for multinationals such as BayWa, The Costa Group and Village Farms.

He will join Equilibrium Capital in Singapore after stints in Kazakhstan and Mexico, and will work on the company’s greenhouse projects around the region.

Dol teams up with John Baker, Equilibrium’s principal and strategy lead for Asia, who joined the company as its first Singapore-based employee last year.

A published authory, Dol penned the book, The Semi-Closed Glasshouse, earlier this year.
