Online food and grocery delivery platform Foodpanda is looking to hire a senior manager for sustainability and corporate social responsibility in Asia, as former manager Hazel Quek is moving on after a year and a half in the role.

Quek, based in Singapore, joined the Berlin-headquartered e-commerce brand in 2021 from hotel chain Hilton, where she was CSR manager for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.

She is relocating to Dubai to take up a role at a global food bank organisation, overseeing operations for Southeast Asia, Eco-Business understands.

Foodpanda is currently interviewing for a replacement for Quek, who reported to Evelyn Tay, Foodpanda’s vice president of communications, public affairs and sustainability.

News of Quek’s departure emerges as the company publishes its latest annual sustainability report for the region. In the report, the company claims to have encouraged one in two customers to say no to single-use cutlery, piloted electricity-powered deliveries in seven markets, and highlighted more than 1,700 “sustainable” restaurant options to customers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
