Frasers Property has appointed Maxine Chen as the company raises its sustainability ambitions in Asia Pacific.

Chen joins the real estate firm after three and a half years with global flooring company Interface, where latterly she worked on sustainability communications for the Asia Pacific region.
She takes on the position of senior executive, group sustainability, at Frasers Property.
In her role, Chen will support the roll out of the company’s responsible sourcing policy, working with all real estate businesses across all geographies. She will also work on driving consistency in sustainability data reporting as the group aims for better transparency in its disclosures.
Chen comes on board two months after Frasers Property unveiled a net-zero carbon emissions target for 2050.
Frasers was one of the region’s first real estate firms to set carbon reduction goals, and the company, which has operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and the United Kingdom, has hatched a plan to first measure and disclose its carbon exposure, then reduce it.
Chen worked for law firm Legal Options LLC before joining Interface in 2017. She interned for environmental website Mongabay and law firms White & Chase and Ashurst, and has volunteered for environmental groups People’s Movement to Stop Haze and Lepak in SG, and Global Compact Network Singapore.
