Gamesa bags contract for wind farm in Maharastra, India

Spanish firm Gamesa is set to build a wind farm in Maharastra, Western India to supply 47.6 MW of power to the area. Gamesa was awarded the contract by power company SJVN, which is a joint venture between the Indian government and the state government of Himachal Pradesh. The Spanish manufacturer will be constructing a wind farm which will consist of 56 850-kW turbines and also manage the facility for 10 years under the contract.
