Malaysia is planning to build a green city in Petaling Jaya (PJ) as one of its National Key Economic Areas in its Economic Transformation Program. The planned 16-hectare PJ Sentral Garden City will be financed through a cumulative investment of RM6.7 billion and is estimated to have a gross development value of RM11 billion. The vision for the area is a new central business district which will feature green buildings, parking lots that can accommodate electric cars, and a 4.8 hectare park.
