New incentives are in the pipeline to encourage the construction of more green buildings, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said.
The Deputy Prime Minister, however, said the Government would not rush into making it compulsory for all buildings to adopt the concept.
“We know it is costly, but if there are those who want to do it voluntarily, we welcome it,” he said after launching the Diamond Building, the Energy Commission headquarters which is built under the green concept.
The diamond-shaped building is capable of saving up to 60% in power consumption and 65% in water usage.
