Indonesian government revises draft regulation on low-cost green car

The Indonesian government is revising the draft regulation on Low-Cost and Green Car (LCGC) production that was previously planned to be implemented at the beginning of April 2013.

“The office of the coordinating minister for economic affairs already has the draft, but a change in the wording which is not substantive is still needed,” said Industry Minister MS Hidayat after attending the opening of the National Conference of Indonesian Textile Association here on Thursday.

Hidayat said that earlier there were five ministers who provided their signatures on the draft regulation, but before it was signed by the president, the draft should be checked first by the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

“The Minister saw that there are still some things that should be revised but I do not know for sure the parts which were changed,” said Hidayat.
