Jakarta’s tapped out water supply

Residents in areas of Greater Jakarta say the taps have run dry for days and that this year’s water shortage is much worse than in previous years. Local stores have run out of bottled water, which some residents have turned to for washing dishes and bathing as well as drinking to get through the dry season. The Meteorology department expects the drought in the Indonesian capital to last through November or December.
