Less cost, more mileage for new Nissan Leaf

Nissan has addressed the range problems it blames for the disappointing sales of its Leaf electric vehicle. Its new Japanese model will go 15 per cent farther on a single charge and cost 11 per cent less than the existing model.

Similar improvements are expected in the 2013 United States model, but details have yet to be released.
