Malaysia Pacific, LG CNS in resort pact

Malaysia Pacific Corp Bhd (MPCorp) will work with South Korea’s LG CNS to promote and develop long-term cooperation in relation to LakeHill Resort and Asia-Pacific Trade and Expo City (APTEC), a smart green city, in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

In a statement today, MPCorp said both parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Seoul yesterday, witnessed by Malaysian Ambassador to South Korea, Datuk Ramlan Ibrahim.

MPCorp is in partnership with AmanahRaya Bhd (wholly-owned by Minister of Finance Inc) to develop LakeHill Resort City and the APTEC, billed as the largest trade exposition and distribution centre in the region.

APTEC is located within its flagship Lakehill Resort City.

LG CNS is a wholly-owned information technology and media unit of LG Korea, one of the top five conglomerates in South Korea.

MPCorp said the MOU would be effective in relation between LG CNS and MPCorp unit, LakeHill Resort Development Sdn Bhd.

The MOU covers strategic planning of the smart green city and information and communication technology in relation to design, construction and planning maintenance of the city.

It also covers the city in respect of residence, transportation, security, safety, environment, tour, entertainment, logistics, business, digital landmark, sourcing, distribution, sorting, supply chain, postal and financial services, and e-education.
