Queensland’s solar households safe from fixed fees for now

Solar-powered households will not be liable for paying special fixed tariff fees. Energy Minister Mark McArdle said the government had considered a new report by the Queensland Competition Authority saying that fixed fees taken from solar households will prevent households from passing on their network costs to consumers. McArdle said the administration will continue to consider other more equitable systems which will prevent solar households from being subsidized by other consumers.
