Singapore-based social enterprise Eco-Business today launched its revamped website www.eco-business.com, cementing its position as Asia Pacific’s leading one-stop portal for the region’s cleantech and sustainable business community.

The new website, which went live today, unveils a fresh new look and layout with added features aimed at increasing the level of interaction with both its readers and clients.

With a more streamlined interface, readers can now enjoy reading the latest news and views, and browse the free-to-read archive of more than 15,000 stories all carefully tagged and categorized into relevant topics.

New features include:

  • A curated section called ‘Editor’s Picks’ which features the most interesting content on the site, including a new Sustainability Leaders series featuring Sir Richard Branson as the first interviewee
  • A new ‘Topics’ section that organizes content into our 11 categories - Carbon & Climate, CSR, Eco-Cities, Energy, Food & Agriculture, Green Buildings, Manufacturing, Policy & Finance, Transport & Logistics, Waste Management and Water
  • Customized Feature Series and Event Coverage Series which offer in-depth reporting on specific issues

These free client services have been enhanced to include:

  • Quicker publishing: Press Releases, Events, Jobs and Research can be published in seconds

  • Live and accurate statistics for everything published, including page views, job applications, event registrations, etc
  • Pictures, logos and cover pages can now be added to all posts
  • Intuitive new Client Dashboard to manage and view team members, posts, directory listing, and statistics tracking

“Technology has the power to inform and educate the wider public about sustainability issues. The revamped site takes this to a whole new level, by enabling a better reading experience for readers, and by offering clients a simple and sleek way of managing and tracking their communications,” said Eco-Business founder Jessica Cheam.

“The team has worked very hard over the past year rebuilding the whole site from scratch onto a far more powerful and scaleable platform. As Asia becomes the global centre of trade and economic activity, we are firmly committed to help it grow on a sustainable, low carbon path. The new site demonstrates our strategic move to stay relevant in a world where business-as-usual is no longer an option, and strengthens our position as the leading sustainability portal in Asia Pacific.”

Sustainability campaigner Olivia Choong, who is the co-founder of Green Drinks Singapore, said: “Eco-Business has become the quintessential resource for news on sustainability in Asia-Pacific, with well-updated events and green jobs listings, and it offers invaluable support to the sustainability efforts of businesses in this region. The revamped website looks smart and new features such as the client dashboard will further help to communicate developments in the area of sustainability.”

Visitors are encouraged to give their feedback or discuss content on the website, our Twitter account @ecobusinesscom and on our Facebook Page, facebook.com/ecobusinesscom.

The website’s re-launch also marks the opening of Eco-Business’s new headquarters at Block 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore’s thriving hub for entrepreneurs, media and tech start-ups.
