Singapore-based renewable energy firm Cleantech Solar has hired Kelly Lim from Shell as chief financial officer.

Lim joins Cleantech Solar after five and a half years with the oil major, where she was senior manager, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial finance.
She joins a company that provides renewable energy to corporations in Southeast Asia and India.
Cleantech Solar owns and operates more than 300 solar power plants across the region. Among Cleantech Solar’s most recent projects is to power the Malaysian and Thai manufacturing facilities of Dutch paints company AkzoNobel by solar energy.
Over her career, Lim has also worked with Australian financial services giant Macquarie Group, where she spent more than 10 years as senior vice president, based in Singapore.
