A widely referenced authority on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues in Europe and Asia Pacific, Kishigami worked for global index provider FTSE Russel for almost 14 years, as head of ESG for APAC, then as senior advisor in sustainable investment for the region. She left to become a coach and consultant in June.
Kishigami has been a principal facilitator between Japan and the rest of the world as a member of Japan Sustainable Investment Forum (J-SIF) and the Working Group for Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC).
She joins Chronos as part of the United Kingdom-headquartered firm’s global specialist consultancy network, based in Tokyo.
Kishigami’s appointment comes three months after Chronos made a similar hire to strengthen its Asia Pacific consultancy offering, bringing in Sydney-based climate change and green finance expert Dr Ian Woods.
Woods co-founded the Australia/New Zealand Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC, Australia, NZ) and is a member of the Coordinating Working Group for the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative.
Chronos Sustainability has founded in 2017, and is working on projects covering issues including climate change, responsible investment, oceans management, wildlife and farm animal welfare.
