Taiwan increases PV targets to boost solar expansion

Taiwan has scaled up its PV installation target to 130 MW from 100 MW in a bid to expand the industry, said its Bureau of Energy of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The government is also drafting an action plan to assist the local photovoltaic manufacturing industry’s expansion in overseas markets which include marketing services and aid in identifying distribution channels and partners overseas. The Bureau of Energy said if local PV manufacturers can successfully expand overseas, their overall exports is projected to jump 10 per cent annually.
