Wind turbines tested on rough conditions of Chiba coasts

Japanese energy companies are testing out the feasibility of wind technology along the rough coasts of Choshi, in the Chiba Prefecture in Japan. A wind turbine was just put up in the area that is known for its frequent typhoons and the meeting place of two tidal currents. New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) are hoping to determine the most convenient system to generate offshore wind power in the area.
