Enhancing future readiness through cutting-edge SMART solutions for FM

Catering to the growing demand for facilities management services across Asia, SMART Facilities Management Solutions Expo and Conference 2016, the region’s leading exhibition of its kind, returns for the third year. It will be held at Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore, from 26 to 28 April.

The event will showcase cutting edge and emerging technologies such as the advent of SMART technology and key building solutions. These developments are revolutionising facilities management, such as ensuring operational continuity, managing the increasing complexity of buildings, merging legacy buildings and their systems with facilities expansions, energy management systems, maintaining aging infrastructure and improving reporting and compliance in an integrated facilities management environment.

Organised by Sphere Exhibits, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, with support of key industry players across the region, the three-day trade show will feature some 80 exhibitors and is expected to draw 3,000 attendees.

Running alongside the trade show will be the Facilities Management Conference held on 27 and 28 April 2016. Co-organised with Singapore Institute of Building Limited, the eagerly anticipated conference will address the challenges and future of smart facilities management, and give insights into how facilities management can be transformed through the effective and productive use of resources and smart innovation.

The trade exhibition will feature key profiles centering on four main sectors: Mission Critical facilities; Leisure and Tourism facilities; Transport and Public facilities, as well as Building and Infrastructure facilities.

The trade show will further incorporate four key segments in Energy Management, Security Solutions and Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) and Environmental Management, making it the most comprehensive and focused trade platform in redefining SMART facilities management. Integrated networking and knowledge sharing platforms

Co-located with the SMART Facilities Management is the second edition of the Facility Management Conference, which aims to address key concerns towards the challenges facing facilities managers today. Organised by Sphere Exhibits and co-organised by the Singapore Institute of Building Limited, this two-day conference aims to address the challenges and trends in SMART Facilities Management. Delegates will be exposed to the latest insights, case studies and scenarios presented by leading global industry professional and technology experts in SMART Facilities Management, Sustainable and Green Facilities Management, as well as gain a macro perspective of facilities management in the built environment sector in Asia.

Groundbreaking knowledge-sharing platform connecting regional professionals and academia

The advent of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) also provides an exciting opportunity for professionals in the facilities management industry to explore opportunities and tremendous growth potential in this burgeoning industry in Southeast Asia.

Themed ‘Challenges & Opportunities for Facilities Management in AEC’, this regional focus group session marks a dedicated collaboration among Facilities Management (FM)-related faculties from key Universities across Southeast Asia, connecting relevant decision makers and the academia with a view towards future development of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

The programme aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development in the field of facilities management for the built environment sector in Asia before implementation in the industry.

Curated by noteworthy academic representatives from Chulalongkorn University, the National University of Singapore and Universiti of Teknologi Malaysia, this focus group session will connect over 100 delegates, industry experts, professionals and businesses from ASEAN in a one-day immersive meeting of minds on matters relating to its theme.
