We asked them about who inspired them to take up a career in sustainability and what in their opinions are the major challenges we face in the future.
Robert Purves AM is President of WWF Australia, a founding member of The Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists, a Director of Earth Hour Global, a Patron of the Lizard Island Research Station and a Governor of Australian Youth Climate Coalition. He is also the former Chair of Sustainable Business Australia (SBA), a prominent businessman and champion for conservation and the environment.

Mike Barry is Head of Sustainable Business at Marks & Spencer. He is part of the team that oversees Plan A, the environmental programme which aims to make M&S the world’s most sustainable major retailer by 2015. He is also the Chair of the World Environment Centre, following six years on the WWF programme committee.
