Integrated waste water treatment specialist Ronser Bio-Tech Bhd (Ronser) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Casabrina Vacation Villas Sdn Bhd to collaborate in building a green aquaculture and agriculture centre at the resort in Raub.
The MoU was also signed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and Japan’s Asia Water Business Consultant (AWBC) as technology providers.
Ronser Chief Executive Officer Dr. Pua Eng Teck said the centre will utilise the Mass Bio System it developed as well as AWBC’s nano technology and SJTU’s expertise.
“To develop the aquaculture or agriculture industry, water quality is very important,” he said, adding the technology consumes less electricity and occupies a 20 per cent smaller area than a conventional system.
The centre will start in two to three months with an initial investment of between RM250,000 and RM500,000.
Managing Director and owner of the Casabrina resort, Felix Tee Yee Loh, said the centre, about 59 km. from Kuala Lumpur, would blend with the resort’s tranquility and help make Raub a major tourist attraction in the next three years. — BERNAMA
