Pruksa Real Estate plans to launch energy-saving residential projects in 2016 with the help of its Japanese partner and a German architect who is an expert in energy-saving properties.
“Our first residential project will be launched at Plant Pattanakarn at a starting price of Bt5 million per unit,” the company’s chief operating officer Lersak Chuladesa said yesterday.
Speaking in Japan during a visit to Smart City Shio-Ashiya by Pana Home, he said the company’s vision is to develop innovative residential projects to serve customer demand under the Four Consumer Mega Trend concept, which has four themes: safe home, healthy home, green home and smart home.
The safety home aspect means building under the prefabrication system. It is considering joining forces with expert advisors, including German architect Dr Robert Himmler, who is a visiting professor at the School of Energy and the Environment at King Mongkut’s University of Technology in Thonburi.
He also works with Sunaree Lawanyawatna, architect and design lecturer at the university’s School of Architecture and Design, and Dr Margin Schoch, a lecturer at the School of Management Technology at Shinawatra University.
“We plan to launch the first energy-saving residential project next year after we study the process and build the master energy saving resident model with the help of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB),” he said.
Energy saving residential homes will be more expensive than normal residential properties, but that will match the customers’ demand and purchasing power to buy, he added.
The company has invested about one per cent of its annual revenue on research and development, he said.
“Normally, we research and develop our innovative residential properties with our supply partners. Japanese firm Panasonic is also is one of our partners and it will help us to develop residential homes to serve customer demand,” he said.
Following its business strategy, the company targets presale revenue of Bt47 billion and total revenue of Bt47 billion this year, up 20.2 per cent and 11.9 per cent, respectively, from last year. The company also plans to launch 70-75 new residential projects worth between Bt55 and Bt61 billion this year, he said.
