Elizabeth leads WRI’s Sustainable Investing Initiative. She is responsible for collaborating with institutional investors and other market participants to inform, develop, and promote widespread adoption of sustainable investments strategies in the mainstream investor marketplace. She also oversees the sustainable investing strategy for WRI’s own endowment, a journey that informs and benefits WRI’s broader marketplace transformation work.
Elizabeth previously worked in private equity and management consulting. At Global Environment Fund - a private equity firm focused on natural resources and sustainable businesses, with over $1 billion under management - Elizabeth guided investment strategy and managed all investor relations. Before that, Elizabeth spent five years at Booz Allen Hamilton, guiding public- and private-sector clients as they evaluated alternative-energy technologies. Elizabeth has also served as a consultant on climate finance to the World Bank and International Finance Corporation. Early in her career, Elizabeth was an Analyst for the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, and worked for senators Edward M. Kennedy and Max Baucus.
Elizabeth holds an A.B. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Elizabeth is committed to educational access and environmental sustainability. She currently serves as a Director of the Harvard Alumni Association and as Chair of the Investment Committee and Board member of the Harvard Club of Washington, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Club’s Schools & Scholarships Committee. She also serves on the Corporation of the Winsor School in Boston and as Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of the Stella P. Holt Foundation. Her roles in sustainability include Trustee of The Maryland/DC Nature Conservancy Chapter and Steering Committee member of the Intentional Endowments Network.
