The UAE is home to the Middle East’s first green hydrogen production plant and aims to secure 25 per cent of the global hydrogen market by 2030. Masdar plans to produce one million tons of green hydrogen annually by that time, while ADNOC’s current production capacity stands at 300,000 tons. To support these ambitious targets, the UAE plans to increase clean energy investments to US$163 billion by 2050.
