Head of product

We are looking for a strategic, motivated and hands-on Head of Product to lead our product team and help shape the future of our offerings.  

This role will report to the CEO/Managing Director and will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for the overall product strategy, vision, and execution across Eco-Business’s platforms and offerings, with a particular focus on Eco-Business’s newly-launched subscription plans. 

This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including web development, content, design, marketing, and data to deliver exceptional user experiences, drive innovation, and maximize product growth and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media or digital product development, a passion for user-centric design, and the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team. 

We are looking for suitable candidates who will be based at our Singapore headquarters, although we will also consider candidates from other countries depending on suitability. You will work with a wide range of partners from public, private and multilateral organisations across the world.  

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Product strategy and revenue growth: Develop and communicate a clear, long-term product strategy that aligns with company goals and drives both user engagement and revenue. This includes subscription-based revenue, ad-supported models, and other monetization strategies. 
  • Revenue accountability: Take ownership of product-related revenue targets, including driving revenue growth through product innovations, enhancing user acquisition and retention, optimizing pricing models, and improving conversion rates. Manage a team of sales consultants to achieve revenue goals. 
  • Monetization strategy: Lead the development and optimization of monetization features, such as subscription plans, advertising products, and other related services. Work closely with marketing and partnership teams to implement effective revenue-driving features and product initiatives. 
  • Product Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear, long-term product strategy aligned with the company’s vision, business objectives, and user needs. Ensure that product and subscription initiatives drive measurable business impact.  
  • Roadmap and prioritisation: Define and manage the product roadmap, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic objectives. Prioritise initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals.  
  • Innovation and market insights: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and user behavior shifts to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.  
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely across all our teams to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives and alignment across the organization.  
  • User-centric focus: Lead product development with a strong focus on the end-user experience. Conduct user research, A/B testing, and other methods to gather insights that inform decision-making.  
  • Metrics and performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, and regularly report on progress, impact, and areas of improvement to executive leadership.  
  • Budget and resource management: Manage product budgets and resource allocation to ensure the team is properly equipped to execute on product initiatives.  
  • Stakeholder management: Act as the primary liaison between senior leadership and the relevant teams, effectively communicating product strategies, goals, and results.  

  

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role at a media, technology, or digital company. Experience in both product strategy and hands-on execution is highly desirable. 
  • Media Expertise: Experience working in the media industry (e.g., digital publishing, streaming, broadcasting, entertainment, or content-driven platforms) is strongly preferred. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving alignment and collaboration across diverse functions. 
  • Product Management Skills: Deep expertise in the full product lifecycle, from ideation through to launch and iteration. Strong skills in product roadmap development, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making. 
  • User Focused: Strong user experience and design thinking skills, with the ability to translate user needs into actionable product features and improvements. 
  • Data-Driven: Experience with data analytics, A/B testing, and using data to drive product decisions. 
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business strategy, product-market fit, and how product decisions impact broader organizational goals. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines 
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy, and strong written and spoken English language skills. 
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the willingness to contribute to the success of a growing and dynamic organisation. 
  • A clear understanding of the Eco-Business brand and editorial principles.
