Australia’s Christmas lights made brighter by solar power

Borgnis Street - Australia’s most famous street for Christmas lights - has switched to solar power in a bid to offset the rising costs of electricity. National solar provider Energy Matters has donated free solar systems to the residents of the street to help the residents offset the energy they will consume when they adorn their houses with Christmas lights this year. The panels will also be available for use by the residents even after Christmas for the basic electricity requirements of their household.
