China and Russia to partner on energy and trade

China and Russia have signed a number of agreements this week, with a focus on cooperation on energy and trade.  Under the agreement, the two countries will be expanding their bilateral trade targeting to reach $100 billion by 2015. Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev also signed agreements on cooperative action on nuclear power, transport, technology and personnel training. Wen said China and Russia should work more closely given the changes happening in the world and the risks of an economic downturn.
