China subsidises renewable energy-generated electricity

Renewable energy power generation programmes and power grids will receive subsidies from the Chinese government, said its National Development and Reform Commission. The subsidy plan will involve those that started their programs from October 2010 to April 2011. The subsidy plan will cover seven provinces and autonomous regions including Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Tibet and Sichuan.
