Foo joins the ride-hailing app after six and a half years with WRS, the owner of wildlife parks including Singapore Zoo, where she was assistant manager for sustainable solutions.
Her role at Grab is to manage region-wide environmental sustainability programmes. Among the Singapore-headquartered firm’s goals is a plan, revealed in March, to set science-based targets to reduce its carbon footprint.
At WRS, Foo was recently involved in monitoring energy and water consumption, and improving the sustainability of transport options to the parks. She was also part of the team working towards WRS’s goal of using 100 per cent certified sustainable palm oil in its restaurants by 2025.
Over her career, Foo has also worked as a wildlife consultant for Mastermark, a firm that manages wildlife strike risk at Singapore’s aerodromes.
