Money-saving LED for Malaysian gov’t

Malaysian Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Peter Chin said the government was working on a plan to replace all light bulbs in government buildings with energy saving LED bulbs. He estimated the move could save the government at least RM800 million on its RM2.7 billion annual energy bill.

Meanwhile, energy efficiency experts say government procurement policies are essential to boosting investment in energy efficiency.
