US firm SunPower Corporation and Japanese electronics giant Toshiba will be extending their mutually beneficial solar panel contract until 2018. Under the partnership, SunPower will be supplying Toshiba with 100 megawatts of its highest efficiency residential solar panels for use in the Japanese market. Since 2010, SunPower has provided Toshiba with more than 150 megawatts of solar panels.
