Taiwan to slash feed-in tariffs on decreasing costs

The Taiwanese government will be issuing reductions in feed-in tariffs for solar power generators in 2013 as manufacturing costs in the sector fall. The Bureau of Energy said the government will cut the tariffs by a range of 9.23 to 11.88 per cent in the first half of next year. They have already introduced tariff cuts between 1.9 to 2.56 per cent earlier this year. Feed-in tariffs for hydropower energy, however, will be increased by 5.79 per cent.
