American firm First Solar will be supplying Zhenfa New Energy Science & Technology with 2 megawatts of thin-film solar modules for use in a project to be developed in Xinjiang province early next year. This will be the first commercial venture in China of the US solar panel maker. The company’s managing director in China said the tie-up with Zhenfa supports China’s renewable energy goals.
