Vincent Bakker, the chief finance officer of renewable energy finance firm Positive Energy, has moved on from the company he co-founded to join Entoria Energy.

Singapore-based Entoria Energy is a developer, investor and operator in corporate renewable energy projects, in Asia and Latin America, and Bakker takes on the role of group controller.

His role will initially be focused on setting up a centralised finance function including a system for governance, contract management and compliance, and also involve deal structuring, capital structuring and corporate finance.

Bakker moves on from Positive Energy following a difficult period for the startup, which launched its asset financing, trading and management platform in 2019, and has since scaled back operations.

Bakker co-founded Positive Energy with Nicolas Payen after a 9-year stint with oil major Shell, where latterly he worked in the finance team for projects in Southeast Asia. The Dutchman worked for Shell in the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Singapore.
