50 scholarships now available to study IWC programs in integrated water management

To continue to support students in the current difficult economic climate, the International WaterCentre (IWC) is offering 50 partial-tuition scholarships ($6,000 each) for the first 50 candidates who apply for an integrated water management program (Masters, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate) for 2013.

The scholarship is available to Australian and international students who do not receive any external full-tuition scholarship or full-tuition funding from other sources.

Each partial scholarship is valued at $6,000 for the whole Masters program, payable per semester towards tuition fees (directly to the enrolling university). For full-time students, this is equivalent to $2,000 off their tuition fees each semester ($1,000 each semester for part-time/distance students).

To benefit from this partial scholarship you need to:

  1. Apply for the program (Masters, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate)
  2. Receive a place in the program from either The University of Queensland or The University of Western Australia, depending on your chosen specialisation stream
  3. Be one of the first 50 students to enrol in the program (enrolments will open from December 2012)

Note there is no separate application form for this scholarship.

About the International WaterCentre (IWC)

The International WaterCentre (IWC) is a joint venture of four leading Australian universities: The University of Queensland (UQ), Griffith University, Monash University and The University of Western Australia (UWA). IWC provides education and training, applied research and expert services to promote a whole-of-water-cycle approach and develop capacity in integrated water resource management around the world.

IWC’s Master of Integrated Water Management (also available as a Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate) is designed to fast-track career development and equip students with transdisciplinary skills in integrated water management.

Students enrol at either UQ or UWA. Lecturers are drawn from UQ, Monash, Griffith and UWA. Upon graduation, graduates receive a co-badged degree by IWC’s four member universities. The program commences in February 2013 and can be completed in 12 or 18 months full-time or 3 years part time/distance.
