District cooling has been identified as one of the key measures in which the Emirate can optimize the use of energy resources while providing comfort and convenience to its people.
The UAE and other GCC governments are committed to promoting district cooling to reduce their dependence on conventional cooling systems which consume more energy, according to Dubai’s State of Energy Report 2014.
District Cooling has proven itself as the leading choice of cooling technologies for large developments and projects in the Middle East. While speculations suggest that the initial setting up costs maybe higher to conventional cooling, the long term benefits and costs outweigh the initial capital investments.
