Reed Exhibitions Australia announces launch of Energy Efficiency Expo 2019

Reed Exhibitions Australia has recently announced the launch of Energy Efficiency Expo 2019, a new trade exhibition and conference addressing energy productivity and affordability, in partnership with the peak industry body, the Energy Efficiency Council.

From 2019, Energy Efficiency Expo will be held annually in October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside All-Energy Australia and Waste Expo Australia, forming the most significant national showcase of renewable energy and sustainable solutions.

Energy Efficiency Expo will provide specialists with a professional or commercial interest in the energy sector with a unique opportunity to discover practical solutions for energy efficiency investments.

The two-day event will feature an exhibition showcasing the latest low-carbon and cost-reducing solutions from leading companies, and a conference program for industry leaders to present expert advice on energy efficiency and productivity.

Luke Menzel, Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Efficiency Council, said it is vital the industry understands the benefits of energy efficiency, which extends beyond just cost savings.

“Energy has become a first-order strategic issue for most Australian businesses. As a result, they are actively assessing any option that can reduce their exposure to an increasingly volatile energy market. And they are finding that energy efficiency is one of the quickest and cheapest ways to bring down energy bills while raising business productivity,” Mr Menzel said.

“We are excited to be partnering with Reed Exhibitions Australia to deliver the Energy Efficiency Expo. I’m confident it will provide a valuable forum for Australian businesses to get across how they can act to take control of their energy costs.”

Robby Clark, Exhibition Director at Reed Exhibitions Australia, said that renewable energy is the fastest growing category for the leading event organiser, and reflects the industry’s increased importance across business, government and the community.

“Governments, businesses and industries are seeking innovative solutions and approaches to keep pace with the evolving energy sector, particularly around rising costs,” Mr Clark said.

“Following strong interest from our attendees to better address energy efficiency, we are pleased to partner with the Energy Efficiency Council and shape this event into an engaging forum for collaboration and innovation.

“Energy Efficiency Expo is an exciting new addition to our calendar of events, creating a one-stop-shop for renewable energy, energy efficiency and waste and recycling events under one roof and providing a unique offering for the sector.”

The inaugural edition of Energy Efficiency Expo will run from 23 to 24 October 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. For more information visit www.energyefficiencyexpo.com.au
