Singaporean-Taiwanese companies sign cross-border collaboration

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between VisionEdge Technologies, Cleantech Marketplace Forum (CTMF) and the Center for Green Economy of Chung–Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER), acting on behalf of Green Trade Project Office (GTPO) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan.

The MoU is aimed at benefitting companies from Singapore and Taiwan across the cleantech, eco-products, energy, environment and sustainability sectors through joint and complementary efforts by both organizations in business facilitation, organising of joint and exchange business mission trips, provision of capacity building training workshops, as well as working on collaborative studies on green productivity and sustainable cities.

One of the highlights of the MOU signing is the launch of a Green Business Exchange, a collaboration between VisionEdge Technologies, through its associate company GAC Ventures, and barterfli Holdings, targeting as a start Singaporean and Taiwanese companies but will eventually be expanded to cover all markets, first in Asia Pacific and then the world.

This green eco-system will enable several hundred eco-product and environmental solution companies to profile and promote themselves and gain exposure in the international markets.

It offers various forms of business concierge, match-making and overseas go-to-market support services for companies to reach out to different industry sectors and markets across 13 economies in East Asia by plugging into a network of partnering trade associations in ASEAN, China, Japan and Korea.

The MoU signing ceremony was held on 14th October 2015 in Taipei as a side event of Cleantech Marketplace Forum @Taipei and the Taiwan International Green Industry Show (TIGIS) 2015.

“Sustainability today is no longer a regulatory but a business imperative and is critical for continued competitive advantage for companies across industries. Against this megatrend, VisionEdge Technologies is pleased to join hands with our partners in Taiwan in sharpening the competitive edge of our companies in this age of green economy through collaborative efforts via the MOU, and the launch of a green business exchange that will bring thousands of eco-products and environmental solution companies closer to the international markets.” said Mr Patrick Chan, the co-founder and managing director of VisionEdge Technologies said.
