Break Up With Plastic2

“It’s not me, it’s you.”

This may not be the classic break up line of Hollywood romantic comedies, but it stole the show in a recent video teaching consumers how to kick their plastic habit.

Starring Singaporean comedian Judee Tan, the video was produced for the Little Green Steps campaign by Green is the New Black and the Recycle More Waste Less initiative by DBS, which encourages people to cut plastic out of their lives by taking small everyday steps.

Singapore residents consume enough straws to line the city-state’s borders more than twice, and local supermarkets alone give out 820 million plastic bags per year.

Watch the video to find out how Judee survived her plastic break-up, and her tips for getting over an environmentally toxic relationship.
