New Practical Guide for Sustainable and Inclusive Business in Myanmar

New Practical Guide for Sustainable and Inclusive Business in Myanmar

This research report from CSR Asia provides practical guidance and recommendations for organisations, enabling them to operate in a way that contributes to the sustainable development of Myanmar while protecting businesses from financial, legal and reputational risks.

CSR Asia has developed a framework that supports companies with establishing a responsible and inclusive business strategy. The framework is made up of three dimensions:

  1. The responsibility dimension provides an analysis of Myanmar and outlines six key capitals, where businesses can contribute to the sustainable development of Myanmar.
  2. The dimension of inclusivity emphasises the incorporation of low-income populations and marginalised groups into corporate operations and value chains in order to reduce poverty.
  3. Guidance on the development of a comprehensive strategy suggests how to incorporate responsibility and inclusivity in all business activities.
