François Perreault is a research associate at the Canada Research Chair in Canadian Foreign and Defense Policy. Based in Singapore, his current research interests revolve around Canada’s foreign and defense policy in Southeast Asia and the Asia Pacific region.
He has a Research M.Sc. in Political Science from the University of Montreal in Canada (2010). For his research on the security issues in the contemporary Arctic, he was awarded a Graduate Student Fellowship from the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
Having worked extensively on the contemporary Arctic, he has built great personal interest for climate change issues. Climate change is impacting our world, both in politics and in the realm of the economy, and François believes that governments need to act now, but that the private sector also has an important role to play.
