Hazel Quek is the Asia-Pacific Regional Director at The Global FoodBanking Network, a food bank network spanning more than 50 countries that works on community-led solutions for hunger. She is responsible for advancing the planning, development, and execution of core field projects, including food bank members’ organizational and operational preparation for certification/recertification standards, and training in the APAC and Oceania region.
Previously, Hazel served as GFN’s Southeast Asia Accelerator Associate Director, where she supported food banks in the Accelerator program, performing assessments, co-developing work plans, and supporting project implementation alongside newly established food banks.
Hazel joined GFN in 2023 with over six years of experience in corporate social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and corporate giving in the hospitality, food and beverage, and e-commerce sectors. Hazel’s expertise lies in establishing and managing corporate giving programs to support hunger alleviation projects, helping bridge the gap between businesses and charities. Most recently, she was with Asia’s leading food delivery company Foodpanda, during which she successfully established food surplus donation partnerships and set up consumer donation programs in multiple countries to support the work of local food banks and charities. Prior to Foodpanda, Hazel was part of Hilton’s ESG team for Asia Pacific. Hazel holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
