Karina Basrewan is a communications and climate storytelling professional with a background in media, journalism, and content creation. As Head of Partnerships for Eco-Business in Indonesia, she is dedicated to building strategic collaborations that amplify impactful thought leadership and drive sustainable development across the region.

Passionate about positive and inspiring engagement, Karina is also the Co-Founder of Climate Starts with SEA, a weekly newsletter dedicated to driving climate action across Southeast Asia.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Political Communications from the University of Melbourne, Karina’s career spans broadcasting, journalism, community engagement, and environmental advocacy. She previously worked as a News Anchor at SEA Today, Indonesia’s first English-speaking news channel, where she honed her skills in storytelling and broadcasting.

Beyond her professional roles, Karina has proudly represented Indonesia on international platforms, including as Miss Earth Indonesia 2022, a host at the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Labuan Bajo, and the country’s sole representative in the CNN Academy: Global South Climate Storytelling Program 2023 in Abu Dhabi.

Karina is passionate about using strategic communication and storytelling to inspire climate action and empower communities worldwide.
