Nicholas Walton is a journalist and author.
He worked in foreign news for the BBC for 14 years, as a foreign correspondent in Sarajevo and Warsaw, while reporting across the world from Russia and the Caucasus to Sierra Leone and Kosovo.
After the BBC he worked for a foreign policy think tank, ECFR, before leaving to write his first book on the Italian city of Genoa. He now lives in Singapore and writes on everything from sustainability to fintech, sports to city states.
