Sustainability Reporting - A Practical Approach

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced in March 2013 that it would be moving to a “comply or explain” basis for listed companies to produce Sustainability Reports. The revised Singapore Code of Corporate Governance requires sustainability issues (environmental and social factors) to be considered by all Boards of Directors, as part of their strategic formulation.

Increasingly, investors are including analysis of company’s sustainability risks/opportunities in their investment decisions. The world’s largest financial information providers, Bloomberg & Thomson Reuters, both provide sustainability ratings, and analysis.

So what’s all the fuss about? What exactly is sustainability? Does it differ from corporate social responsibility (CSR) and how does it relate to business strategy? What type of sustainability information should companies be disclosing?

This 2-day seminar has been put together to address these questions and guide participants through the sustainability reporting requirements of SGX and GRI.
