$150 million wind farm to blow north of Victoria

Acciona Australia has announced that it is seeking permission to build a 23-turbine wind farm in Berrimal in Victoria. The wind energy firm had already won approval to construct 16 turbines on the same site in 2007 but the project never materialized. Loddon Shire’s chief executive John McLinden says that the project is estimated to be worth about $150 million. Local officials said the wind farm may also bring in more tourists to the area.
