Aquatech awarded a wastewater recycle project by MIAL

Aquatech has been awarded a complete turnkey EPC contract for a 10,000 cubic meters/day waste and sewage treatment and recycle project for the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at Mumbai, India.

To meet the demands of a rapid growth in international flight operations and passenger traffic, a new terminal building - the Common User Terminal (CUT) - is being planned as part of the expansion and modernization of the airport facility.

In view of the scarcity of fresh water and to cater to the requirements of the expanding airport facilities, Aquatech’s wastewater recycle system, based on their state of the art technologies, will treat the raw sewage for the purpose of recycle and reuse. Aquatech will also subsequently operate and maintain the facility.

Aquatech’s Vice President, Sachin Kukade, commented, “It’s our privilege to be associated with GVK’s prestigious modernization project of MIAL for setting up the sewage treatment and recycling / reuse project based on the most advanced technologies.

This project shall surely be an important milestone for Aquatech in further consolidating its market leadership position in the country’s rapidly growing Wastewater Treatment / Recycle market for Infrastructure as well as Industrial sectors.”
