The Vietnam Farmers’ Union and the Pho Cho Company jointly launched a trading floor in Hanoi on October 13 to link the country’s agricultural demand and supply.
Deputy Chairman of the Union, Nguyen Duy Luong, said the trading floor will promote trade and locate outlets for agricultural products.
The trading floor features a network providing updated crop information, equalizing access to information across all regions of Vietnam.
Its data will be used to predict supply and demand of streamlining distribution and reducing costs.
Nguyen Thanh Ha, Pho Cho’s Chairman of the Board, said that between 2011-2020, the company and the Union will broaden the trading floor to every district in the country and develop a chain of services to serve its members, as well as create a domestic purchasing and distribution channel for farmers and businesses that are not able to compete in other markets.
Thanks to the new trading floor, farmers can now easily find partners and businesses can purchase products efficiently through its purchasing network.
